The Departed
This has not been a good year for film as far as I'm concerned. Nothing, has really stood out to me. But I think I saw the pick of the bunch last Thursday night when I ventured in to see 'The Departed'.
I liked this film, I liked it allot. The major negative point was that both violence and bad language were in excess, which was a bit of a shame. But that aside, I really dug this film.
I enjoyed watching a story unfold that was not cliched or predictable. A story that had me on the edge of my seat and with more twists and turns then the worlds biggest pretzel. The acting, script and direction were top class, as should be expected from some of Hollywoods Biggest names (Scoresese, Nicholson, Damon, Di Caprio)
Although slightly too long, this was easily the most watchable film I have seen this year......
(although I did hire out the Wallace and Grommit movie on Friday night which was a pure joy to watch.)
