Thredbo and New Additions

I Failed.

Although, I did manage to get to Thredbo by 12:30am on Australia Day, I did not climb the mountain to see the Sun Rise.

I did manage to climb it by lunch time though. I had done it before, but I will do it again. If you have never done it, I encourage you to do so.

I look forward to seeing Thredbo again this year, but with alightly more white around then last week.....if you know what I mean.

Photo's will be published later tonight.

In the mean time, you can check out a new link to the page. Who knows what will be posted at the Lunch and Cathy blogg, but it deserves to be linked.

Come See The Morning

Tomorrow, for Australia day, when the Sun Rises, I will be standing at the highest point in Australia.

On Australia day 2006, I will be the first person to see the Sun Rise in Australia as I stand atop Mount Kosziousko.

Now its 3:30pm on the 25th of Jan. So I have about 26 hours to get from the city of Sydney, up to Hornsby, down to thredbo and to the top of the mountain. This should be fun.

I will have camera on hand to capture, what I am hoping will be spectacular.

This reminds me of a Nathan Tasker song, which speaks of a somewhat more important 'light' and 'morning'.

"Come see the morning, lets welcome the light, which drives out the fear and the darkness of light. Jesus. Light to the world has arrived"

"Come see where justice and mercy collide. There on his hands and his feet and his side"

"Come see how valuable you really are, worth every tear and the pain of each scar".

Lets keep it all in perspective.

20 Most Anticipated Films for 2006

This service is free. These 20 films here are the 20 films I wont be missing. What I love about movies though is the surprise package which pops up, which are not on the list.

But, all these films I recommend you see.

A more, MEATY post will be coming soon. i.e One with more of a punch :)

1.Casino Royale
A new James Bond. Although I am unsure about 'Daniel Craig' stepping in, its always worth a watch.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dean Man's Chest
The first Pirates just continues to grow on me. Any anything with Johnny Depp in it is worth seeing.

3. The Da Vinci Code
Love the book. Dont think Tom Hanks makes a good Robert Langdon, but this could be massive at the box office.

4.Stranger than Fiction
Will Ferrel - need I say more. Will plays a character that wakes up one morning to find his life is being narrated. But only he can hear it.

5.Superman Returns
Kevin Spacey as Lex Luther. Oh baby, baby!

6.Zodiac
David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en), makes his impact felt on the big screen since 'Panic Room'. My favourite director. what more can I say.

7.Poseidon
A remake of the Poseidon Adventure. This was the film which got me hooked/adcited to movies! Remaking a classic is always danger. But always worht a watch.

8.Mission Impossible 3
This film may self distruct in 5,4,3.....but hey.....

9.The Departed
Di Caprio, Damon, Nicholson, Sheen, Whalberg, Baldwin. Scorsese directs them all in this film about the Mafia, Boston police and violence

10. The Visiting
Those keen to check out 'Daniel Craig' before he plays Bond, can as he teams up with Nicole Kidman in this loose remake of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'

11. Inside Man
Denzel Washington and Jodie Foster. A bank robbery? An Inside Man? Count me in!

M.Night Shymalan comes in close behind David Fincher. The work he did in Sixth Sense and Signs is brilliant. Apparently this is a 'bed time story'. Hmm cant wait!

13. American Dreamz
A satire of 'American Idol' with Hugh Grant. Could be funny

All good things come to and end

Well folks.

Its been awhile.

And to be honest. I'm glad.

I have been on holidays for 15 days, and got 1 to go. And I haven't even really had the chance to post. And that makes me happy. However, the thought of returning to work, makes me get the 'going back to work blues'.

Some highlights over the past couple of weeks:

1) Board Games, board games and more board games. Those who know me, know how much I love board games. And plenty have been played till early hours of the morning.

2) Narnia. I loved narnia. I really did. I was not excited and Tash made me go. Glad I did.

3) A short couple of days spent in the Hunter. Returned with a 'few' more bottles of wine.

4) The Cricket. Although most of the days I went were pretty dissappointing, its always good.

5) Sleeping in :)

But Monday seems me travelling back to reality.

What does this year hold..........?

Time will only tell.

Stay tuned for 'Jimmy's Most Anticipated Films for 2006'
